- Dig a large trench or holes big enough where the entire pot of your podocarpus plant fits comfortably.
- Take the podocarpus pot off the root ball and place plant in your individual hole or trench.
- Once your podocarpus is in the trench/ hole fill the hole with dirt or top soil ( not necessary)- the podocarpus being salt tolerant and a very hardy plant can be installed with its own soil and it does great in sandy areas. (podocarpus love the sand)
